Best-selling 'Left Behind' authors visit Plano.
Prestonwood Baptist Church had the feel of a rock concert Monday evening as hundreds of people came out to hear bestselling authors Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins discuss the last book in their "Left Behind" series.
Sandra Simons had driven down from Norman, Okla., for the event. She entered the church carrying a large camouflage cross with a sign that read "Pray for our Troops" and was asked to leave.
Simons wanted LaHaye and Jenkins to sign the cross that she plans to carry around the country this year.
"The signs of the end time can be seen in the war with Iraq and what's happening in the Middle East," she said. "That's why I'm carrying this sign so that the people will know that what we are fighting is a battle for Christianity. That's why I wanted to speak with them. I know that LaHaye understands about the prophecy in Revelations."
